WINdows 98SE, Windows 2000 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1
On the taskbar click START, PROGRAMS, ACCESSORIES, COMMUNICATIONS, INTERNET CONNECTION WIZARD.

STEP 2
On Welcome to the Internet Connection Wizard, select "I want to set up my Internet connection manually, or I want to connect through a local area network (LAN). Then click Next.

STEP 3
On Setting up your Internet connection, make sure I connect through a phone line and modem is selected. Then click Next.

STEP 4
On Internet account connection information, UNCHECK the option "Dial using the area code and country code." Enter access number for your location.

Then click Next.

STEP 5
On Internet account logon information, enter your username and password from your Forbin Enrollment Sheet. Then click Next.

STEP 6
On Configuring your computer, enter Forbin Internet for the Connection name.

STEP 7
On Set Up Your Internet Mail Account, for Do you want to set up an Internet mail account now? choose YES. Click Next. 

STEP 8
On Internet Mail Account, choose Create a new Internet mail account. Click Next.

STEP 9
On Your Name, enter your first and last name. example: John Doe Click Next.

STEP 10
On Internet E-mail Address, enter your forbin email address. example: joeuser@forbin.net Click Next.

STEP 11
On E-mail Server Names, it should say "My incoming mail server is a POP3 server.
Enter
Incoming mail server: mail.forbin.net
Outgoing mail server: mail.forbin.net
Click Next.

STEP 12
On Internet Mail Logon, enter your username (example: joeuser for joeuser@forbin.net) and password. Click Next. Uncheck connect to the Internet immediately. Then click Finish.

You may now dial into Forbin by clicking on the Internet Explorer icon on your desktop. Happy Surfing!

REMINDER: When entering User Name/Account Name, Password, Email Address, and Incoming/Outgoing Server to type them in lower case letters.
