Forbin.net

Remote Access configuration:

Go to the Apple in the top left corner of your screen
Choose “Control Panels”
Choose “Remote Access”
Be sure the dot is in “Registered User”
for name: enter the username you choose when you signed up with Forbin, be sure it is entered in lowercase letters.
for password: enter the password you also choose when signing up with Forbin, once again, be sure it is entered in lowercase letters.
Phone Number: Waterloo/Cedar Falls/Waverly: 235-6000
Shell Rock: 352-5526
La Porte City: 235-6000
Now close this window by clicking the box in the top left corner, and click “Save” to save the changes.

TCP/IP Configuration:

Go to the Apple in the top left corner of your screen
Choose “Control Panels”
Choose “TCP/IP”
At the top where it says connect via: use the drop down menu and choose “PPP”
On the next line, Configure Using: choose “PPP Server”
At the bottom left of this window, Name Server address enter the info below
204.71.100.3
204.71.100.248
At the bottom right “Search Domains” enter in forbin.net
Now close the window and click save.

Email Configuration:

Go to the Apple in the top left corner of your screen
Choose “Control Panels”
Choose “Internet”
Click on the “Personal Tab” at the top of the window
1. Name: Enter your Real Name
2. Email address: enter the email address you choose when you signed up with Forbin, example: username@forbin.net
Now click on the “Email Tab”
1. ID: enter the username you choose when you signed up, all lowercase letters
2. Incoming Mail: mail.forbin.net
3. Outgoing Mail: mail.forbin.net
Now click on the “Web Tab”
1. Home Page: change this to the page you want to be displayed when you first open you Internet Explorer, if you are unsure, try using www.yahoo.com
