Forbin Wireless provides five packages starting with speeds of 256 Kbps depending on the service selected. The service options for homes or businesses are as follows:

Residential Services :

Power User up to 512 Kbps $69.95*
     
Business Services:
  Speed Price per Month
SOHO up to 384kbps $74.95
Corporate up to 768kbps $149.95

What do you use to deliver the data? back to top
Forbin Wireless uses industry standard 802.11b wireless transceivers operation in the 2.4 GHz frequency band.

Our technician will install a transceiver interface card into a slot within your computer and then connect it to an antenna best suited for your location.

What equipment does a customer need to receive the signal? back to top
The residential customer utilizes a receiver and transmitter at their location that translates data from the PC into radio signals that the antenna can interpret.

Does this system require a clear line of sight from the local site antenna to the user? back to top
Yes, this technology can reach a customer four miles away from the antenna provided that there is a clear line of sight between the antenna and receiver/transmitter.

Is the Forbin Wireless service affected by adverse weather such as heavy rains or snow? back to top
Unlike Ku band satellite technology (the technology used with most entertainment satellites), Forbin Wireless uses high frequency radio waves, which are not affected by heavy rains or snows.

Will I get a busy signal when trying to get on the Forbin Wireless service? back to top
No, since Forbin Wireless has an "Always ON" service there are no phone lines, modems or other limitations to getting on the service.

Do you have e-mail as part of your service? back to top
Yes, free e-mail accounts are provided with each service package. Additional e-mail accounts may be purchased for a low monthly fee.

Can I connect additional computers to the same service? back to top
Yes, we have several options for you to choose from depending on the number of computers and devices to be connected. Additional hardware and setup charges required. Please contact us for more information.

What are the computer requirements to receive Forbin Wireless? back to top
You simply need a Pentium class processor 300 MHZ or higher PC, Microsoft® Windows® 98 or higher, 128 MB of RAM, 500 MB of free disk space and an available PCI or ISA slot. Macintosh OS 8, 9, and 10 with ethernet.
